Youth Ministry
Wednesday Night
Wednesday night youth group is a relaxed environment built for teens to enjoy a safe place to connect with God and other teens. During a Wednesday night youth group students will participate in creative games, quality music, relevant Bible teaching, and connecting small groups of other students they can relate to. Our aim each time is to focus on one relevant point that students can walk away with to face the rest of their week. We do not hide the fact that we believe Jesus is the answer to life's questions and the Bible is where we do our teaching from, yet we believe that God wants us to enjoy life, so we gear our youth group to be fun and attractive while opening the Bible to find the best possible way to live.
Sunday School
Sunday School is geared more for those who are already Christians and growing in their walk with God, but all teens are welcome. During Sunday School we learn the Bible one story at a time. We start with a relaxed game to open things up and then simply read from the Bible and discuss what it is talking about. We choose one book of the Bible and work our way through it until we are finished, learning what it says and how we can apply it to our lives.
Activities
There are many activities with the youth ministry throughout the year, from small events like day trips to the beach to learn surfing to big events like our two week missions trip to Ecuador. Check the youth site for more info on upcoming events (www.mycbcyouth.com). All teens are welcome.
Child Care Policy
We have a Child Care Policy that we abide by in order to ensure we are providing a safe environment for your children. One aspect of this policy is that all volunteers must undergo a criminal and sex abuse background check before serving in any capacity with minors. A copy of our Child Care Policy is available upon request.
